Decolonizing Scholarly Communication

Six provenance labels from Local Contexts: TK Attribution (TK A), TK Clan (TK CL), TK Family (TK F), TK Multiple Communities(TK MC), TK Community Voice (TK CV), and TK Creative (TK CR).

Examples of Traditional Knowledge (TK) Labels, which “identify and clarify community-specific rules and responsibilities regarding access and future use of traditional knowledge.” For more information, see Local Contexts’ TK Labels page.

Topics will include:

  • Colonialism and scholarly communication
  • Open access and the Global South
  • Indigenous rights to traditional knowledge
  • How to decolonize scholarly communication?
